Congratulations to Union Alumnae (2013-16) Natalie Nucifora who yesterday graduated as Valedictorian of her class with a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Economics!
After completing Year 12 at Tully State High School in Far North Queensland, Natalie moved to Union College in 2013 to commence her studies choosing to major in finance and quantitative methods. She quickly become known for her academic achievements and outstanding leadership qualities, and went on to become a Resident Mentor and Senior Resident Tutor during her time at Union.
Natalie has had a huge impact on her fellow residents having been a Union tutor for 10 subjects over the last three years helping residents to understand complex problems. A number of her tutees have commented that Natalie was the one who helped them understand difficult concepts they were studying and credited Nat to helping them pass courses!
Not only has Natalie excelled at her studies, she has also made the most of her time at university, undertaking a study abroad summer program to Shanghai Jiao Tong University funded through the New Colombo Mobility Plan Scholarship as well as undertaking vacation work at BDO and PWC.
Natalie is looking forward to jetting off overseas on a well-deserved holiday, spending time travelling in Europe before return to Australia to commence a graduate role with PWC in their Deals division in October. Late last year Natalie was recognised by Grad Connection as one of Australia’s Top 100 future leaders and we have no doubt that Natalie is destined for great things in the future! From your Union College family, we would like to extend our congratulations Natalie and we look forward to hearing of your future successes!
